Climate Power x Fellow Americans

Ahead of the presidential election, Climate Power teamed up with Fellow Americans to create 30 second videos that highlighted the Trump administration’s shortcomings on climate policy. Given the year we’ve all had and the seriousness of the subject matter, drag queens seemed like the perfect vehicle to deliver the message. Along with co-writer Jenise Morgan, we successfully pitched our concept and script to the nonprofits.

After seeing the first video, featuring the incomparable Pissi Myles, they greenlit six more. Writing, producing, filming, and editing the entire project remotely, Brita Filter joined Pissi to tackle a range of subjects – from the US leaving the Paris Climate Accord to Trump’s tweets denying climate change. Along with editor David Vendette, I took a text-forward visual approach and delivered 16×9 and 1×1 cuts of each video in just over a week.
