Football Town: Valdosta, GA | NFL Network

[executive producer]

Four hours south of Atlanta, you’ll find the most winning high school football team in the nation.  The Valdosta Wildcats dominated for nearly 90 years but times have changed, and almost 50 years after the forced end of segregation, Valdosta is a very different town still searching for its identity.  This year, they’ve hired a tough new head coach to try and lead the team – and the town – back to former glory and their first state championship in 18 years.

A six-part documentary series produced in association with Magical Elves, “Football Town: Valdosta, GA” premiered on the NFL Network & Snapchat.  As Executive Producer, I was involved in the series from day one on the ground in Georgia through the end of post production in Los Angeles.  Directing, field producing and filming at times – to name just a few roles – it was a constantly evolving process as the project changed hands from Esquire Network to NFL Network, airing as six, half hour episodes, as well as on Snapchat as cutdowns.
